Our Sections

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)/section of our School caters for children aged 6 months to 5 years.

  • Creche (6 months - 1 year and 6 months old)
  • Pre-Nursery (1 year and 6 months - 3 years and 6 months old)
  • Nursery (3 years and 6 months - 5 years and 6 months old)

Curriculum: Our curriculum is a blend of the Nigerian and Montessori methods, focusing on a holistic child development. Our experienced and qualified teachers create a nurturing environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

Teachers: Our teachers are skilled professionals who understand the importance of early childhood education. They are trained in both Nigerian and Montessori teaching styles, ensuring a well-rounded education. They provide individualized attention, encouragement, and support to help each child reach their full potential.

Our School welcomes pupils from diverse religious backgrounds and offers religious studies that respect and celebrate these differences. We offer Islamic and Christian religious studies, aligned with the Nigerian curriculum.

In the Early Years section, we prioritize play-based learning, exploration, and discovery. Our classrooms are designed to stimulate curiosity and creativity, with materials and resources that cater to different learning styles.

The primary section of our school typically includes learners in the early years of their educational journey, usually between the ages 5 and 11. This stage is crucial in laying foundation for future academic success and personal growth. Our primary section is divided into different classes. They are:

  • Primary 1 (between ages 5 to 6)
  • Primary 2 (between ages 6 to 7)
  • Primary 3 (between ages 7 to 8)
  • Primary 4 (between ages 8 to 9)
  • Primary 5 (between ages 9 to 10)

At KHALADIS, we use the Nigerian curriculum nourished with British curriculum which builds on primary education and aims to provide a well-rounded education whereby it focuses on the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of learners. The curriculum is designed to be engaging, interactive and age appropriate, with an emphasis on building skills, knowledge and values that will benefit learners throughout their lives.

We have teachers who are experienced and well trained. These experts play vital roles in shaping the young minds. They employ various skills and techniques to create an engaging and effective learning environment. Some of these skills and techniques are effective communication, lesson planning, classroom management, differentiation, technology integration, assessment and feedback, creativity and flexibility, emotional intelligence and collaboration.

The secondary section typically includes students in the early teenage years around 10-13 years old. This stage is crucial in building on the foundational knowledge and skills acquired in the primary section. Our secondary section is divided into:

  • J.S.S.1 (age 10-11)
  • J.S.S.2 (age 11-12)
  • J.S.S.3 (age 12-13)

The lower secondary section of our school also known as the Junior Secondary School (JSS) spans from JSS 1 to JSS 3 and is part of the 9-year Basic Education Curriculum in Nigeria. The curriculum is designed to provide students with solid foundation in various subjects and prepare them for further education or entry into the workforce. Subjects offered in the lower secondary section of our school include:

The school offers an Islamiyyah program for the Muslim pupils in the school. This provides valuable opportunity for pupils to learn about their faith with our qualified Asaatidh (teachers). There is a comfortable mosque in the school meant for prayers by the Muslim pupils. The Islamiyyah program covers a wide range of subjects that fosters a deep understanding of Islamic knowledge equipping pupils with a strong foundation in their faith and spiritual growth.
